  • By bus. We recommend you to take the companies Supratours or CTM.
  • By private transfers. We organize them for you, here you have the prices:

Yes, we always recommend to have a travel insurance when traveling here. If you are planning to come for horse riding or kitesurfing, it is important to note that not all the travel insurances policies cover these kids of activities, so you should make sure to check the details of your policy before purchasing it.

Essaouira has a mild, temperate climate with stable temperatures throughout the year. The summers are usually sunny but not with high temperatures as in the rest of Morocco, they can go around 20s Celsius from June to September, and this is due to the windy season that we have from March till September. After this the weather gets a bit warmer, and we have a proper summer until more or less December.  The winter comes at the end of December and it last till the end of February, with average high temperatures around 17 Celsius.

Overall, the weather in Essaouira is pleasant and mild, making it a great destination to visit year-round. However, always it’s a good idea to bring some warmer clothing, as the temperatures can be cooler, especially at night.

Yes, the water temperature in Essaouira can vary depending on the time of the year, averaging around 17-21 ºC more or less during all year. Even if some people can be at the water without the wetsuit some periods of the year, we normally use a 4/3 mm even in summer.

Kitesurfers, windsurfers and wingfoilers find in Essaouira the perfect spot to enjoy their passions. The wind season in Essaouira runs from March to September, during this time the winds are consistent and strong, you can expect daily wind speeds of around 20-30 knots, with some days reaching even higher speeds.

Overall, the best time to come to Essaouira if you are a wind lover depends on your personal preferences, the wind season offers the best conditions for the watersports, but you can still enjoy the sports during other times of the year as well as there is windy days all year round.

The waves season In Essaouira runs from October to April, with the biggest waves occurring from December to March. During this time, the swells can reach up to 3 meters or more, giving us excellent surfing conditions for experienced surfers.

It is still possible to surf outside of this season, especially for beginners or those looking for smaller waves.

Overall, the best time to come to Essaouira for surfing depends on your skill level and preferences. The wave season provides the best conditions for experiences surfers, but there are still opportunities for beginners throughout the year.
